| Thar Pharmaceuticals is quickly developing a pipeline of drug candidates using its proprietary chemistry technology platform. We create new versions of known, safe drugs with new clinical benefits. Our drug candidates allow for new routes of administration, address unmet medical needs, serve underserved patient populations, allow for new disease indications and create new composition of matter patent protection. Through the application of our technology, we change a drug’s pharmacokinetic profile.
Our lead product is T121, an oral dosage form of an existing IV-only cancer drug. Our oral drug should have fewer side effects and save up to $3,900 per patient per year in IV administration costs. We plan to initiate human clinical trials in 2012. IV-to-oral transformation programs are ongoing for other cancer products. Thar also has several faster onset product opportunities, including drugs for pain, erectile dysfunction, anxiety and migraines. T109 is in preclinical development and is a fast-acting non-narcotic therapy for acute pain. Originally used for chronic pain, Thar has re-invented this drug for acute pain with targeted applications in back pain, post-operative pain and dysmenorrhea. |
